year 2004 House in Poznań year 2004

ARCHITECTS: Przemysław Borkowicz, Anita Chudecka, Marcin Kościuch, Tomasz Osięgłowski
in cooperation with: Szymon Osijewski, Alina Pacholczyk
AREA: 250 m²
STATUS: completed

Location

The starting point was a nice plot with a small cube from the 1970s and a lot of trees. The extension was designed so as not to remove any of them.
House a space (internal)
The living area is a two-storey living room with a mezzanine, connecting with the kitchen and the entrance area. The whole is open to the garden through a large glass window. In order to enlarge and free up the space, all elements of the living room and kitchen (kitchen furniture, living room furniture, fireplace) were pushed outside. The concept for this solution was suggested by Alan Wexler's installations.

Function

The bedroom - the more private part of the house is located in the full, pre-existing block, while the living area is located in an open, wooden-reinforced concrete cuboid. The common element of these two spaces is a piece of furniture standing at their junction, which is also the staircase.
