Urban Planning:

First and foremost, we were keen to make the building urban in the surrounding space. That's why the complex refers to the massing, roof pitch and repetition of elevations characteristic of the surrounding residential and hotel buildings erected in the early 21st century.

In terms of spatial design, the spacious inner courtyard is surrounded by four blocks with three stories and an additional one hidden in the sloping roof. The roof was topped with an attic made of perforated sheet metal, behind which technical equipment serving the individual apartments was hidden.

Architecture:

When designing the facades, we looked for inspiration related to place. To finish the roofs and exterior walls, we chose aluminum tiles, arranged like the meshes of fishing nets or fish scales. Balconies near the living areas of individual apartments were enclosed with aluminum slats, creating intimate ?baskets? referring to those found on nearby beaches.

Land development:

The greenery surrounding the complex is inspired by the dunes. It is formed by naturally formed hills of coastal sand, planted with vegetation characteristic of the Baltic coast.
