COOPERATION: Łukasz Piszczałka, Przemysław Fedorczuk, Alicja Wilczyńska,
AREA: 300 m²
STATUS: unrealized

Context

An honest field. This association was immediately imprinted on us during our first visit to the plot on which the house designed by us is to stand. And the saying "the wind blows in an open field" was immediately verified positively.
The plot intended for construction is a large, open space resembling a huge meadow. It adjoins a road to the north and is bordered by a forest to the south. The distance between the place where the building is to be constructed and the nearest trees is over 100 metres.

Form

The body of the building was designed in such a way as to create pockets between its individual segments, in which terraces were hidden. The walls of the house provide a natural shelter from sudden gusts of wind, give shade and a sense of intimacy, giving them the character of secluded corners.
This shape of the body of the house is also supposed to bring to mind rural buildings. The desire to refer to it made us exclude the construction of a multi-threaded, complicated form. The building is to give the impression of a complex of simple objects, thus resembling a traditional country house.
Each segment of the house has been assigned a different function. In this way the building is divided into the following parts: living, technical, sleeping and guest.

Materials

According to the development conditions, the house must be covered with a sloping roof.
Construction and materials: The building is designed entirely in timber construction. The walls have a wooden frame filled with insulation; they are finished with plywood on the inside and dark-coloured board cladding on the outside.
