Building

It is an office building designed in the very centre of Poznań, at Za Bramką Street, complementing one of the quarters of the city centre development.
This location was the main factor determining the form of the overground part of the building. From the side of the streets surrounding the quarter, its elevations form a calm, contemporary composition blending into the urban frontage. The storeys, like those of the neighbouring houses, are separated by cornices, while the walls are articulated by rhythmically repeating vertical windows. With the narrow streets in this part of the city, the high glazing allows in as much sunlight as possible. The body of the building looks completely different from the inside of the quarter. Each storey is set back from the previous one, creating recreational terraces paved with wood and complemented with greenery. Thanks to the fully glazed façades, the visual boundary between inside and outside the building is blurred, allowing these zones to permeate one another.

Idea

Urban planning

Additional public space will be created on the side of Za Bramką Street, between the newly designed office building and the building of Poznańskie Centrum Świadczeń. It will be a small square with benches and greenery arranged similarly to the terraces of the new building.

Ecology

In addition to the terraces, the grassed roof will also be a biologically active area. The building has been designed in a way that allows natural ventilation, each window is equipped with an opening element allowing natural ventilation of the interior.

Parameters

The office building will have seven storeys and 14,000 square metres of space. Three underground storeys and part of the ground floor will be occupied by a car park with 299 parking spaces. It will largely be a public car park with spaces for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
