Year 2010 House near Poznań, year 2010

ARCHITECTS: Marcin Kościuch, Tomasz Osięgłowski
COOPERATION: Łukasz Piszczałka, Marta Perlik-Napierała, Przemysław Fedorczuk
AREA: 150 m²
STATUS: completed

Function

This is the first house with a sloping roof that we have designed (such a solution was imposed by the development conditions). The idea was simple: divide the building into zones with different functions and rank, and the resulting differentiation of materials.

Materials

The entrance and rest zones of the house, with which residents and guests have direct contact, are designed with better, more resistant to damage materials: the driveway and walls of the entrance part are made of prefabricated reinforced concrete elements, while the rest zone and adjacent parts of the façade are covered with wood. These parts of the building are more expensive to build, but their surface area is relatively small. The rest of the house is designed with standard, simple and cheap elements.
